Turtles are wild, so no honest tour guarantees them. But Laniakea is one of the most dependable turtle spots in Hawaii, and our 75-minute stop is the longest of any Oahu tour, which is exactly why sightings are the norm rather than the exception. Most days, guests snorkel within a few feet of multiple honu.
Rental gear is available right at Turtle Beach, no pre-booking needed. Wear your swimsuit under your clothes, bring a towel and reef-safe sunscreen, and you are set. Prefer to stay dry? The turtles often bask on the sand, so beach viewing is excellent too.
No, and that is intentional. The lunch stop is Tanaka's, a legendary Kahuku shrimp truck, and ordering your own plate (about $15 to $20) is part of the experience. There are options for travelers with shellfish allergies.
Six free pickup points: Hotel Renew, Ka Lai Hotel, La Croix Hotel, Red Lobster (Hobron Lane side entrance), Ross Dress for Less, and the Waikiki Resort Hotel. You will receive your assigned point and exact time after booking. Drop-off is at the same locations.

Swimsuit worn under your clothes, towel, reef-safe sunscreen (Hawaii law bans oxybenzone and octinoxate sunscreens), hat, sunglasses, a light layer for the breezy lookouts, and $25 to $40 for lunch and treats. The bus has air conditioning and free Wi-Fi, and restroom breaks are built into the route.

Counter-clockwise: southeast past Diamond Head and the Halona Blowhole first, then north along the Windward Coast, across the North Shore, and home through central Oahu past Dole Plantation with a Pearl Harbor pass-by. This order puts you at Turtle Beach in the early afternoon, typically the best light and water conditions.
Pearl Harbor is a respectful pass-by on the return leg. The USS Arizona Memorial deserves several unhurried hours, so it is best planned as its own outing on another day of your trip.
