How much does the Oahu circle island tour cost?
The Standard Full-Day Tour is $59 per person and includes Wi-Fi, refreshments, a free malasada at Leonard's Bakery and free snorkel gear at Turtle Beach. A $49 Full-Day Loop fare is available with code FANTASY50; it includes Wi-Fi, refreshments and the Leonard's Bakery stop. Private charters for 10 to 29 guests cost $110 to $145 per person, depending on group size.
How long is the circle island tour?
About 9.5 hours. Pickup is from 6:50 to 7:15 a.m. in Waikiki, and you're back in the late afternoon.
Where does the tour pick up?
From six set points in Waikiki: Red Lobster on Ala Moana Blvd (6:50 a.m.), Ka Lai Hotel (6:55), La Croix Hotel (7:00), Ross Dress for Less on Seaside Ave (7:05), Waikiki Resort Hotel (7:10) and Hotel Renew (7:15). Your point and time are confirmed when you book.
What are the nine stops?
Diamond Head Lookout, Halona Blowhole, Leonard's Bakery, a macadamia nut farm, Mokoliʻi Island at Kualoa, Tanaka's Kahuku Shrimp for lunch, Turtle Beach, North Shore fruit stands and Dole Plantation.
Will we see sea turtles?
Often, but never guaranteed, because the turtles are wild. The tour spends 75 minutes at Turtle Beach, the longest stop of the day. Always stay at least 10 feet from turtles and never touch them.
Is snorkel gear included?
Yes on the $59 Standard tour and private charters. It isn't included on the $49 Full-Day Loop fare. In winter, high surf can make swimming unsafe; the guide decides on the day.
Is lunch included?
No. Lunch at Tanaka's Kahuku Shrimp is paid for separately, so you order what you like. Vegetarian options are available. Budget about $25 to $40 for lunch and treats.
What should I bring?
Swimsuit worn under your clothes, a towel, reef-safe sunscreen (Hawaiʻi bans sunscreens with oxybenzone and octinoxate), a hat, sunglasses, a light layer and money for lunch and treats.
What is the cancellation policy?
Individual bookings get a full refund minus a 5% processing fee if cancelled more than 24 hours before the tour, and no refund inside 24 hours. Private groups have the same terms with a 72-hour cutoff. If we cancel for weather or safety, you choose a full refund or a free reschedule. Cancellations must be in writing.
Does the tour stop at Hanauma Bay, the Diamond Head summit or Pearl Harbor?
No. The tour passes above Hanauma Bay, stops at the Diamond Head lookout rather than hiking to the summit, and passes Pearl Harbor on the way home. Each of those deserves its own half day. Private charters can include a Diamond Head hike.
Is the tour good for kids and older travelers?
Most stops involve little walking and the pace is steady, so it suits most ages. It's a long day with an early start, which is a lot for toddlers. Car seats are available on request for private tours.
Can I book a private tour?
Yes. Private charters for groups of 10 to 29 run in a private air-conditioned minibus, can customize the itinerary, and include the Standard perks plus a free Dole Whip. Prices run from $110 to $145 per person depending on group size.
