The tour runs counter-clockwise: the southeast lava coast in the morning light, the windward side by late morning, lunch in Kahuku, the North Shore in the afternoon, and home through the pineapple country of central Oʻahu. Timings can shift a little with traffic and surf.

What you pass between stops
Kahala, the rim of Hanauma Bay, Koko Head, Sandy Beach and Makapuʻu on the southeast shore; Waimānalo and the Kāneʻohe Bay shoreline on the windward side; Sunset Beach, the Banzai Pipeline and Waimea Bay on the North Shore; and Pearl Harbor on the way home. These are drive-bys, narrated by your guide.

Good to know. Hawaiʻi bans sunscreens containing oxybenzone and octinoxate. In winter, high North Shore surf can make swimming at Turtle Beach unsafe; your guide decides on the day.
